Hi Parents,
I am Rick Vohden and I will be managing your child's baseball team this Spring. I am very excited to meet your children, have a lot of fun and begin teaching them the basics of baseball. Parents Seth Borsuk and Bob Neira have volunteered to coach with me, but we're always looking for parents to help out and coach so please let me know if you are interested, and I can provide you with additional information (and coaching satisfies your work bond)! This helps ensure we have adequate coverage when the coaches have obligations – kids on other teams/leagues, travel for work, etc.
There is an app for iOS and Android available linked directly to the RBC organization - SportsEngine. You can login direct with your RBC credentials, and will allow you to view all the info, put schedule on your calendar etc. Im just figuring some of it out, sorry for the learning curve.
I have also setup our team in TeamSnap, you may have already recieved an invitation. I have used this in the past, but it is duplicative of the RBC info. If i can get that working well, my preference would be to retire the TeamSnap team. We will see how it goes :)

I've listed some information below about our team name, team members, team coordinator, work bond, upcoming key dates/times equipment & web site. Please reply to me by Monday evening at 5:00 pm confirming that your son will be playing baseball this year.

Team Coordinator: This is an additional volunteer role that satisfies your work bond. Responsibilities include making a team banner, coordinating a snack schedule for the team parents and helping coordinate a few other activities for Ridge Baseball. I can get more information to anyone interested in taking on this role. Please let me know who if anyone is interested.
Work Bond: The coaches and team coordinator are covered. Each team has a total of four work bonds. The Work Bond Program requires each family to post a Work Bond, which is a mandatory fee of $100 per family, that is charged at registration and is aimed at encouraging parents to volunteer. The $100 Work Bond is refunded to families if they satisfy the Work Bond Program requirements, which include at least 4 hours of volunteer work in a season, and if they submit the RBC Work Bond Form before November 15th.
Rules: This level will be all Coach Pitch. Everyone bats each inning. First three batters go to first and advance one base each and then every fourth batter hits the ball and clears the bases and we start again. No recorded outs or scores, etc. This is a non-competitive developmental league. The focus will always be on having fun and instilling fundamentals.
Upcoming key dates/times: Our schedule is already on the RBC website
http://ridgebaseballclub.com/. If you sign into your account, you should be able to access the (insert team name) schedule and roster. Our games this year will be Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Because there are 9 teams in the league, we will have some bye dates without a game during the season. Our first practice will be Saturday, March 25.
